Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 14, 2026
1. Overview
FlickClean ("FlickClean," "we," "us," or "our") is a photo cleaning application for iOS developed by Denis Pavelyev. This Privacy Policy explains what information the FlickClean app ("App") accesses, how it is used, and what choices you have. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Your Photos Never Leave Your Device
FlickClean requests access to your Photos library so it can display, analyze, and — with your confirmation — delete photos and videos on your behalf. All photo and video analysis (including blur detection, duplicate/similar photo grouping, and screenshot/video filtering) is performed entirely on-device using Apple's native frameworks (Accelerate, Core Image, PhotoKit). Your photos, videos, and any thumbnails generated from them are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with us or any third party.
3. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum information needed to operate, support, and improve the App:
- Photos library metadata: read locally to organize photos by date, detect screenshots/videos, and identify blurry or similar photos. This metadata is processed on-device and is not sent to our servers.
- App usage analytics: through Google Firebase Analytics, we collect anonymized or pseudonymized usage data such as which cleanup modes are used, how many photos are reviewed or deleted (counts only — not the photos themselves), subscription status (free vs. premium), app launches, and general device information (device model, OS version). This helps us understand how the App is used and improve it.
- Purchase information: subscription status and transaction identifiers are managed by Apple's App Store / StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
- Support correspondence: if you email us, we retain that correspondence to respond to your request.
4. Analytics & Tracking
FlickClean does not show advertisements. To understand how the App is used and to improve it, we use Google Firebase Analytics (provided by Google LLC). Firebase Analytics may automatically collect technical data such as your device's advertising identifier (IDFA, if you grant permission), an app instance identifier, IP address, and general usage events (e.g. app open, mode selected, subscription purchased).
On first launch, iOS may ask whether FlickClean may use your device's advertising identifier for analytics. You can allow or deny this request, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your iPhone. Denying tracking does not affect your ability to use the App or its core cleaning features.
Google's privacy policy for Firebase is available at firebase.google.com/support/privacy. You can also learn about Google's data practices at policies.google.com/privacy.
5. How We Use Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the App's cleaning features.
- To process subscriptions and free-trial entitlements through the App Store.
- To understand app usage through Firebase Analytics and improve features, performance, and stability.
- To respond to support requests sent to our contact email.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your photos or videos with anyone — they never leave your device. Anonymized or pseudonymized usage data described in Section 4 is processed by Google Firebase Analytics on our behalf, in accordance with Google's privacy policy and applicable law.
7. Data Retention
Because your photos and videos are never transmitted to us, we do not retain them anywhere outside your device. Usage data collected by Google Firebase Analytics is retained according to Google's data retention settings and policies.
8. Your Choices & Rights
- You can revoke Photos library access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.
- You can opt out of analytics tracking in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions.
- Depending on your location (e.g. EU/UK/California), you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Contact us to exercise these rights.
9. Children's Privacy
FlickClean is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
10. International Users
FlickClean is available worldwide. If you use the App from outside the country where our service providers operate, technical and usage data described above may be processed in other countries, which may have different data protection laws than your own.
11. Security
We rely on Apple's platform security (including sandboxing and the Photos permission model) to keep your photos private on your device. We take reasonable measures to protect the limited data described above, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
13. Contact Us
